Job Summary
The Test Engineer is responsible for validating the functionality, reliability, and interoperability of hardware, firmware, and software systems. This role involves close collaboration with design engineers, architects, and product managers to develop and execute test plans, build custom testing environments, document results, automate testing processes, and support field troubleshooting of complex technical issues.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Execute White-box and Gray-box validation tests to evaluate system compatibility, performance, and reliability.

Collaborate with design engineers to configure custom test setups using commercial and custom-built equipment.

Contribute to automation efforts using scripting languages (Python, LabVIEW) to improve validation efficiency and consistency.

Assist in translating product and technical requirements into detailed and executable test plans.

Document procedures, results, and findings clearly and systematically for internal stakeholders.

Analyze test data and support debugging of embedded designs to identify root causes of failure.

Support in reproducing and diagnosing customer-reported field issues.
Skills
Skills and Minimum Experience Required

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering field.
- Advanced English

At least 3 years of experience in hardware/software validation or similar technical roles.

Preferred: 2+ years of experience in product development environments focused on test engineering.

Proficient with standard testing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, data loggers, and spectrum analyzers.

Hands-on experience with hardware tools and wiring (low and line voltage).

Familiar with command-line interfaces and engineer-developed utilities for testing and diagnostics.

Able to derive test plans from specifications of varying depth and detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proficient in MS Office and documentation tools.

Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics for test planning and execution.

Experienced in high-paced environments with autonomy and multitasking.

Exposure to specialized equipment: network analyzers, power analyzers, EMI, surge/EFT testers, and thermal chambers.

Understanding of software QA methodologies including unit testing, code reviews, TDD, and agile workflows.
