Job Summary
We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on Product Manager for Data Products in AYI Tech, with a primary focus on Planning and Supply Chain Analytics. You’ll develop and execute the Data Products roadmap, delivering new analytics and ML/AI capabilities that enable proactive, forward‑looking decisions and improve business outcomes. You’ll balance immediate needs with long‑term vision, partnering with a diverse set of stakeholders to shape how data drives action across a leading industrial technology company.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Drive Product Roadmap Development: Define the evolution of new Data Products, analytics, and ML/AI capabilities that leverage historical and forward-looking planning data to derive insights and support decision-making. Articulate what’s feasible, impactful, and logical, sequencing features that align with stakeholder needs and enterprise priorities.
- Take Ownership of Planning Data Products: Maintain and continuously enhance a suite of existing, widely used Planning reports, ensuring responsiveness and continuity.
- Influence Stakeholders and Shape Demand: Engage with Planners, Sourcing Managers, Sales and Product Leads, and Finance Executives. Translate the high-level needs of this diverse set of stakeholders into concrete, scalable data solutions, and align competing asks to the roadmap and enterprise priorities.
- Define and Validate Metrics: Ensure accuracy, trust, and usefulness in every measure. Define and implement KPIs that align with and enhance our organization’s Planning maturity and guide users to take timely actions when performance deviates from plan.
- Represent Analytics in Business Forums: Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews and Steering Committees to share roadmaps, align on priorities, and establish Planning Analytics as a critical enterprise capability.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- B.Sc. in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Consulting, or structured problem solving in the context of technology and IT systems.
- Familiar with end-2-end Planning and/or ERP solutions (e.g., Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, o9 Solutions, SAP, Palantir, Oracle).
- Demonstrated track record of leveraging business intelligence data and/or usage data to prioritize the implementation of new functionality and guide day-to-day product execution.
- Proven ability to identify, document, and articulate user needs and define the associated user experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with highly cross-functional teams
- Intellectually curious with a data-driven mindset; experience shipping and iterating new product functionality based on data.
- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms.
- Available to travel based on business needs (1 – 20%).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- M.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Experience with IBP processes and/or Planning platforms (e.g., o9 Solutions, Anaplan, SAP IBP).
- Exposure to sourcing or supply management analytics.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake and/or Databricks environments.
- Familiarity AI/ML capabilities.
- Background in B2B, supply chain, or manufacturing-heavy organizations.
- Product management training or certification (e.g., Pragmatic, CSPO, Reforge).
Success Overview
How We’ll Measure Success (First 6–12 Months)
- Adoption & Engagement: Growth in active users and repeat usage of Planning analytics by functional stakeholders.
- Decision Velocity: Shorter cycle times for S&OP/IBP decisions enabled by the availability of forward‑looking signals.
- Data Trust: Achieve and sustain agreed KPI data‑quality SLAs for timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
- Roadmap Delivery: Hit feature delivery targets and sequencing milestones with clear release notes and stakeholder communications.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Improve Planning Analytics NPS/CSAT across Planners, Sourcing, Sales/Product, and Finance.
To Be Successful in This Role
- Success requires a deep understanding of Data Products, an affinity for Planning, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive large‑scale data initiatives benefiting diverse stakeholders.
- Strong Power BI skills, including dataflows, report development, and DAX.
- Hands-on experience with Planning and/or financial analytics.
- Ability to define, implement, validate, and own KPIs that drive decision-making.
- Clear, structured communication skills with both business and technical audiences.
- Comfortable delivering through a lean, cross‑functional model; you’re self‑sufficient but collaborative.
- Strong prioritization instincts; ability to evaluate trade-offs and guide sequencing.
- Attention to detail.
The range for this position is $93,000.00 to $167,400.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
