Working directly with the Sales and extended team, our Sr. Data Analyst will leverage analytics to formulate actionable insights that drive business efficiencies and increase profitability. In this role, you will be an integral member of the Strategic Partnerships team by providing analytical insights, facilitating data-driven decision making, and executing on a variety of cross-functional initiatives. The Sr. Data Analyst will be accountable for using their expert knowledge to resolve problems and extracting actionable items and insight from data that helps capture share in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Analytical Thought Leadership: Provide guidance and insights into multiple business segments in Consumer Retail and Strategic Partnerships
- Business Performance Reporting, Visualization, and Regression Management: Be the primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand the why behind the analytics. When business is ahead or behind expectations, dig in to drive meaningful, actionable insights that help the business performance improve or double-down on success
- Creation of New Reporting: Partner with stakeholders to create new dashboards that will be used day-to-day by the Sales, Portfolio and Leadership team
- Enhancing and Refining data model: Help improve the underlying data model and processes that impact data analysis, dashboard creation and reporting
- Forecasting and Opportunity Sizing: Both to set goals and help evaluate potential opportunities, this analyst will be tasked with forecasting and opportunity sizing. This will help business stakeholders evaluate trade-offs in different approaches and create targets for driving business performance
- Partnership: Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify and unlock opportunities, and with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, testing platforms, data visualization, and data architecture
- Prepare and review key performance indicators with sales and marketing leaders
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Clearly present results to sales and leadership, identifying key trends in performance
- Respond timely and thoughtfully to ad hoc financial requests and standard monthly reporting
Minimum Requirements
- 5 or more years’ experience in Data Analytics/Mining. Experience in eCommerce and/or retail is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree – preference in Analytics, Computer Information Systems or Data Science, or directly related work experience can be substituted on a year-for-year basis
- Business acumen in one or more of the following business functions (Finance, Retail Sales, eCommerce Sales, or Supply Chain)
- Advanced Technical Skills (Excel, PPT, Power BI, Hyperion SmartView, OneStream)
- SQL optimization/query performance
- Cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- ETL/ELT tools or data pipeline experience
- Version control (Git)
- Ability to think strategically, analyze and interpret market and consumer information
- Strong communication skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills
- Basic understanding of US GAAP
- Strong mathematical and analytical background
- Excellent Problem-solving skills
- Exceptionally organized and strong at execution, follow-up, and attention to detail
- Ability to work on own efficiently
- Interpersonal skills and ability to build and improve trusting relationships
- Experience working with Retail and eCommerce platforms such as Shopify and Google Analytics is a plus
Travel Requirements
- up to 20% travel expected in this position within North America
The range for this position is $83,300.00 to $164,400.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
