Job Summary
The Senior Reporting Analyst will be a key member of the Corporate Controllership team. The Senior Reporting Analyst will be responsible for complete and accurate financial accounting records for our financial reporting, technical accounting research, and certain accounting functions. This includes the preparation of quarterly and annual reporting items, monthly close processes, and reconciliations of accounts as well as maintaining proper internal controls. Additionally, this function will drive overall internal control improvements throughout the organization.
This role reports to the Director of SEC Reporting and is based in Atlanta, GA in our Midtown office in a hybrid work environment.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Support preparation of key external and internal financial reporting processes, including SEC filings and significant management reports.
- Perform complex accounting for certain corporate functions, including compensation arrangements.
- Partner with the management SOX function to develop SOX documentation and implement global policies and maintain internal controls.
- Communicate and liaise with the internal and external auditors to ensure audits are completed in a timely manner.
- Research technical accounting issues and provide guidance on a variety of complex issues to support business initatives including interpreting accounting guidance and recommending reporting treatments.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
- 2-3 years of overall experience
- CPA certification or planned certification required
- 2+ years of professional experience in reporting or public accounting
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of US GAAP, SOX, and other accounting topics
- Ability to communicate clearly across multiple channels of communication (verbal, email, PowerPoint presentations).
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (e.g. Legal, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations) throughout the business
- Ability to identify and take ownership of work product
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking or standing is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
