Specialist Cyber Security BUILD Leadership Program

Job Summary

The Acuity Inc. BUILD program is a two-year rotational experience that develops high-potential early career talent into impactful professionals through hands-on experience. BUILD participants rotate to a different functional area every six months to build business acumen and skill proficiency. Upon completion of BUILD, participants will have developed broad business understanding, functional expertise, and the professional skills needed to contribute in future career opportunities across Acuity.

 BUILD is designed for early-career talent who are curious, adaptable, and motivated to grow through hands-on experience. Successful participants demonstrate strong learning agility, communication skills, ownership, critical thinking, and a willingness to seek feedback, solve problems, and contribute in a fast-paced environment. BUILD participants are expected to take an active role in their development while building the business, professional, and technical skills needed for future career opportunities at Acuity.

This role is Hybrid and is based in Atlanta, GA, and starts employment on July 12, 2027. 

BUILD participants also participate in personal growth activities to enhance business acumen, including:

• Specialized onboarding for all participants to ensure integration into the organization and program.
• One-on-one mentorship from a Network & Security Engineering leader for the duration of the program (and beyond).
• Social and networking events to forge connections with peers and leaders across the business.
• Frequent opportunities to collaborate with program peers to learn about various business processes and initiatives.
• Leadership report-out meetings to share rotational learnings and performance reviews to identify strengths and areas for growth.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

While business needs will determine specific assignments, Cyber Security & Cloud Operations Leadership Program participants will rotate through functional areas that align individual interests with company priorities while building experience in secure, scalable, AI-enabled platforms. Participants will work alongside experienced professionals on projects across cybersecurity, cloud operations, infrastructure, and emerging agentic technologies, with exposure including but not limited to:

• Associate Experience / Enterprise IT — support internal technology functions that improve the digital associate experience, modern workplace capabilities, and secure access to enterprise tools and services
• Infrastructure & Networking — help design, support, and optimize core infrastructure, networking, connectivity, and system reliability across on-premises and cloud environments
• Application Security / Corporate Security — contribute to security initiatives such as threat reduction, vulnerability management, secure development practices, identity and access controls, monitoring, and cyber risk management
• DevOps / Platform / Cloud / Infrastructure — gain experience with cloud platforms, automation, CI/CD, containers, observability, platform engineering, and resilient service operations
• Database Engineering — assist with database reliability, security, performance, governance, and architecture to support operational and AI-driven workloads
• AI-Enabled Cloud & Security Solutions — partner with teams to explore and support AI-powered capabilities such as intelligent monitoring, automated remediation, security analytics, predictive operations, and cloud optimization
• Agentic Platform Enablement — contribute to the development and support of agentic platforms and orchestration capabilities that enable secure, governed, and scalable use of AI agents across enterprise workflows
• Cloud Security & Responsible AI Operations — support controls and practices related to cloud security posture, data protection, AI governance, model/platform monitoring, and responsible deployment of AI-enabled services

Skills and Minimum Experience Required
