Job Summary
Are you a driven and talented individual looking for the place to do your best work while developing into an impactful leader? Look no further than the Acuity Inc. Internship Program! The Acuity Inc. Internship Program is a 10–12-week experience (May – August, 40 hours/week) designed to develop high-potential candidates into marketing leaders through hands-on experiences that connect interns' strengths and interests with the business's needs. In addition to making an impact through your participation in key projects and transformative processes, you will have an opportunity to mentor and network with leaders throughout Acuity Inc.
We prefer that interns have only one or two semesters left in their degree program so they can be considered for our Leadership Program immediately after completing the internship. Our Leadership Program is a full-time, entry-level rotational program that allows recent graduates to explore different areas within a functional area. These experiences enable young talent to expand their skill set and network within the company while discovering what they are passionate about early in their careers.
We are seeking a motivated and organized intern to join our Human Resources team, with a primary focus on supporting the migration of our HR reporting environment from SAP SuccessFactors to an Azure Data Lake-based analytics platform. This internship provides hands-on experience in project management within HR technology transformations. You will work closely with our HR Analytics and Data Engineering teams to drive the successful transition of reporting capabilities, ensuring continuity and enhancement of data-driven insights. An excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in HR systems, project coordination, data migration, and people analytics to contribute to a strategic initiative.
If you are passionate about coordinating projects that bridge HR needs with advanced data solutions, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities
While specific projects and activities vary during your internship, you can expect to:
- Assist in managing the overall reporting migration project timeline, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with HR stakeholders across departments to gather, document, and prioritize reporting requirements (e.g., key metrics on headcount, turnover, diversity, recruitment, performance, and engagement).
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions to ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
- Track project progress, identify risks or delays, and support mitigation efforts to keep the migration on schedule.
- Collaborate with data engineering, security, and analytics teams on data mapping, validation, and testing during the transition from SuccessFactors and other reporting tools to Azure Data Lake solutions.
- Help maintain project documentation, including requirement specifications, status reports, issue logs, and change requests.
- Support the development of communication plans to keep stakeholders informed on project updates and upcoming changes.
- Contribute to post-migration activities, such as user training preparation, feedback collection, change management coordination, and process optimization.
- Perform ad hoc tasks to maintain data integrity and compliance throughout the migration.
Minimum Requirements
In addition to being currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's or master's program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field from an accredited college or university, qualified interns will have:
- Basic understanding of HR processes and key metrics.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and requirement gathering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project) and Power BI; experience with collaboration tools like Smartsheet or Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors) and cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure) is advantageous but not required (Acuity provides training).
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and comfort working in a cross-functional team environment.
