Job Summary

**This is a hybrid role in Brossard, Quebec.

We are presently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Developer Analyst – Information Systems who will work on the development and implementation of business systems projects within our corporate systems architecture.  The Developer Analyst will work closely both within systems projects and with currently installed systems to assess business needs, identify areas in need of improvement and propose solutions that support the organization’s business goals and meet current industry best-practices.

To be successful as a Developer Analyst, you should be able to work within a variety of business systems while continuously assessing the overall systems architecture to recommend solutions to optimize performance and for any new system additions.  Current business systems include: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), E-commerce, Manufacturing Systems (MES), shipping systems, reports and dashboards (Business Intelligence), internal tools (Sharepoint/Teams), Microsoft Office 365 and more.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Contribution to the successful deployment of systems information infrastructure projects.
  • Engagement with internal customers to capture their requirements, evaluate and develop new applications, solutions and/or enhancements to existing systems functionality.
  • Participation on implementation of systems integration projects, including defining requirements, development work and functional testing.
  • Design, structure and integration of information systems.
  • Current systems architecture assessment for continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Data analysis and development of various reports and performance indicators.
  • Technical support on systems issues as they arise.
  • On-going research of current and emerging technologies to propose value-added changes where needed.
  • Promotion of industry best practices and innovative ideas that leverage the Information Systems in-place.
  • Assessment and implementation of continuous improvement projects on enterprise Data Quality.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in Information Systems or Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience, including:
    • Minimum of 5 years of cross-functional information systems experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in business systems integration.
    • Proven experience in the delivery of technology projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge on SQL databases, queries, stored procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of coding languages
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, various operating systems and databases.
  • Strong initiative to research new technologies and best practices to improve solutions, systems and processes.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and under tight deadlines, independently or within a team.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Bilingual French and English: To serve clients and external service providers across Canada and USA.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge or certification in one or more of the following specific systems:
    • Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Syteline) (ERP)
    • Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce (CRM)
    • Infor OS, ION, Ming.le, IDM and OCR technologies
    • Domo or PowerBI (BI)
    • Datalake solutions
    • Microsoft Sharepoint, Reporting Services, Azure AD

Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec so incumbents can communicate with their colleagues and suppliers in Quebec as necessary. French-language training is offered to all incumbents in permanent positions in Quebec who do not have a good knowledge of French.

 

Another language is required for this position in order to communicate with clients, partners and colleagues, who are predominantly located outside Quebec. The company has very few clients in Quebec and must therefore constantly use another language to communicate outside Quebec.
