Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate professional in methods and industrial engineering to join our manufacturing engineering team. Reporting to the Director of Production Technology, the individual will be responsible for standardizing and driving improvements to manufacturing systems and processes, as well as managing changes to products and testing equipment. This person plays a key role in bridging the Operations and R&D teams. You will be involved in new product introductions, production support, and enhancing operational performance and product quality.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Deploy standardized manufacturing processes
- Document and control operational and production engineering processes
- Participate in the optimization of production systems
- Implement and monitor performance indicators
- Manage engineering changes to current manufacturing products while minimizing impact on ongoing production (ECN & BOM)
- Analyze incidents and failures, resolve technical issues (commissioning, test benches, databases, etc.) to improve quality and optimize production while enhancing product quality
- Develop and track performance indicator reports
- Collaborate in design reviews and the production launch of new products and software to ensure manufacturability, testability, and reliability
- Contribute to the writing and updating of documentation related to test benches, production processes, instruction sheets, and equipment maintenance plans
- Support continuous improvement activities (Kaizen) related to quality control, productivity gains, and cost reduction
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations and Logistics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
- Min 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in electronics is an asset)
- Experience in deploying manufacturing processes and equipment (NPI – New Product Introduction)
- Experience in managing technical engineering changes (ECO – Engineering Change Orders)
- Experience with ERP and/or MES systems
- Experience in implementing and tracking performance indicators
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 & 14001 standard
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-growing organization
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of electronic board manufacturing methods and IPC standards
- Familiarity with CE, UL, CSA, and other regulatory standards
