Job Summary
The Quality Analyst role reports to the Director, Quality. This role will:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of customer quality rates by identifying, analyzing, and reducing the root causes of non-conformities and field returns (RMA)
- Provide a clear, structured, and up-to-date view of product quality performance to support decision-making and prioritization
- Actively collaborate with internal teams (Product Life Cycle, Production, Supply Chain, etc.) to recommend, implement, and track the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions
- Support operational quality improvement projects within the department to help reduce non-quality costs and strengthen the Quality team’s efficiency and proactivity
- Contribute, alongside quality engineers, to new product development projects by leveraging field data and feedback
- Monitor the quality level of materials, semi-finished, and finished products at different stages of their lifecycle (design, assembly, and use) to analyze their quality and reliability
- Provide data on components to support their qualification or disqualification
- Manage cases reported through the "lessons learned" management tool as part of DFx analyses (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Cost, etc.).
- Maintain and ensure the completeness of defect lists identified internally and by customers, and make sure these are shared and understood by all stakeholders
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze product quality data (internal and external non-conformities, customer returns, RMAs, technical support and customer service requests, Aging test results).
- Using proven quality improvement techniques, Identify trends, detect recurrences, and alert the Quality department and relevant teams.
- Investigate and formalize root causes of recurring quality issues, and propose a prioritization of corrective actions based on criticality, impact, cost, and complexity.
- Work closely with Quality peers, PLC (Product Life Cycle), Production, Supply Chain, Production Technology, and Engineering teams to recommend, implement, and track corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, update, and share dashboards, reports, and quality indicators (KPI’s) to support management and internal communication (for example COPQ, DPPM, IQC, IPQC and FQC FPY).
- Participate in quality meetings and present analyses, findings, and recommendations.
- Contribute to the formalization, update, and continuous improvement of quality processes and indicators (KPI’s).
- Be proactive in suggesting ideas to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce non-quality costs.
- Leverage field feedback to inform new product development projects and drive quality improvement from the design stage.
- Support quality studies related to component qualification within product development or lifecycle projects.
- Manage cases reported through the "lessons learned" management tool as part of DFx analyses (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Cost, etc.).
- Help feed manufacturing system data platforms and contribute to their full utilization.
- Ensure the reliable collection, consolidation, and analysis of product quality data to support operational management. Produce and update dashboards and quality reports to help guide decision-making and action prioritization.
- Identify and raise alerts on recurrences and trends affecting customer satisfaction and non-quality costs.
- Provide recommendations and help prioritize corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with internal teams.
- Leverage field feedback to contribute to continuous improvement and new product development projects.
- Actively participate in quality reviews and cross-functional discussions to strengthen the proactivity of the Quality team.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- College or University degree (2–5 years post-secondary) in Quality, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Data Analysis, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent.
- 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment or Quality department, with a focus on data analysis, reporting, or continuous improvement.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, charts, formulas), and reporting tools (e.g., DOMO, Power BI).

Bilingual French and English: To serve clients and external service providers across Canada and USA.

Analytical and synthesis skills, critical thinking to interpret complex data.

Knowledge of quality analysis tools and methods (Pareto, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, PDCA, etc.).

Rigor, autonomy, and strong organizational skills for managing analyses and reporting.

Writing skills to produce clear and well-structured reports.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally with different departments.

Customer satisfaction mindset.

Results orientation and sensitivity to managing and reducing costs of non-quality.

Proficiency with statistical analysis software (eg Minitab).
