Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic Master Production Scheduler for a leading Manufacturer within the building automation and electronic industry. The successful candidate will work to consolidate and produce the production plan within the Monthly Integrated Business Planning (Monthly IBP) framework. Primary objective of the Monthly IBP is to align on one number, gain alignment on milestones and identify demand and supply risks and opportunities. This individual will ensure commitment from all functions, build and maintain good communication and collaboration within Supply Planning teams, Sales, Product Management, Innovation and Supply Chain.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Create and review the production plan according to changes in sales forecasts or manufacturing lead times
- Liaise between supply planning, demand planning, manufacturing, procurement, quality, sales and marketing functions, communicating and resolving issues and concerns
- Promote a continuous improvement mindset within the supply chain organization, identify process improvement opportunities, and create and implement action plans with internal and external cross-functional teams
- Lead cross-functional supply meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Regularly review production plans and inventory reports, availability/requirements for long lead items to provide production instructions to manufacturing sites
- Act as the point of contact for supply planning for all new product (NPI) launch projects
- Develop and maintain inventory system data, including network changes, lead times, and cost and delivery expectations; collaborate with marketing/sales and commercial teams on future promotional events and new product introductions
- Responsible for his/her portfolio's inventory, customers and performance indicators
- Act as a subject matter expert and train colleagues in best practices, processes, etc.
- Act as a change agent, share best practices, improve working methods and processes
- Perform all other related tasks
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, or a business-related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a production or supply planning role
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
- Proficiency in ERP system required
- Experience in materials resource planning required
- Bilingual French and English: To serve clients and external service providers across Canada and USA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Autonomy, initiative and leadership qualities
- Ability to work in a constantly changing and dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in stressful situations
- APICS certification will be an asset
