Job Summary

The Software Engineer will work with an experienced team of software, firmware, and hardware engineers to develop Plugins for the Q-SYS platform. Q-SYS is a fast growing, award winning, software and hardware platform built on cutting-edge audio, video and control products.

This position is based in Boulder, CO.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Develop Plugins for the Q-SYS Platform
Automate third party audio, video, and control devices for complex AV system design
Work with Software Quality Assurance to develop appropriate test strategies
Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
The ideal candidate would have experience in an integration and control environment
Experience in scripting and leveraging APIs
Experience with the best principles, practices, and patterns of source control and software development
Experience with basic control cabling, network configuration, and comfortable working with third party AV hardware
Must be self-motivated to achieve assigned objectives with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills in English
Proficiency in Lua scripting or similar language
Experience with common control protocols such as SSH, TCP, HTTP, etc.
Experience in UI and UX design

The range for this position is $68,900.00 to $148,500.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
