Job Summary
The Solutions Specialist, A&E Technical Operations, works to support technical aspects of maintaining The CoLAB and Q-SYS interoperability with partner integrations. This individual will work very closely with the Alliances and Ecosystem, Product Development and Technical Support teams to create, test and troubleshoot partner centric system solutions. This position may require maintaining an elevated level of confidentiality on some projects. This individual will also contribute to the creation and maintenance of application notes, knowledge base articles and other documentation related to these partner integrations.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
The CoLAB: Responsible for day-to-day operation and coordination of activities in The CoLAB including scheduling, interfacing, and execution of internal and/or external facing engagements. Be the primary lead driving partner centric innovations and experiments that extend the capabilities or automation of the Q-SYS ecosystem. Represent Q-SYS in meetings involving both internal and external customers, partners, and stakeholders. Collaborate with the rest of the Technical Operations team on the ongoing advancement and evolution of the space.
Technical Support: Responsible for maintaining communications and relationships between A&E and Q-SYS support teams including ongoing training and documentation efforts. Manages and executes internal case or product escalation testing when, and as, appropriate for partner related troubleshooting. Facilitate partner support communications, onsite resources, and shared escalation paths.
Partner Interoperability: Responsible for organizing and executing certification related testing, both internal and external, for Q-SYS and Partner solutions. Work with interdepartmental and external teams to achieve desired outcomes.
Tradeshows and Events: Work with internal and external teams on technical partner integrations at tradeshows and events. Represent QSYS at some of these events.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- BA/BS degree in a technical/engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
- CTS, CTS-D or similar Avixa technical certification desired
- Q-SYS Level 1 certified, Level 2 preferred
- 5+ years experience in the AV Integration industry with emphasis in system design and commissioning
- 3+ years Installation and Commissioning Experience with Q-SYS systems
- In-depth understanding of audio, video and control principles and algorithms
- Understanding of standard networking protocols and best practices
- Strong understanding of and experience with collaboration platforms and products
- Proven success in working cross-functionally both internally and externally
- Must have strong verbal skills with consultative professional business acumen
- Proficient writing skills for technical support and knowledge base articles
- Creative thinker; comfortable with ambiguity
- Ability to recognize and utilize automated workflow tools available

The range for this position is 73,000.00 to 132,000.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
