Position Summary & Location

At Acuity, the Transportation Clerk is responsible for all administrative tasks related to shipping and receiving products in and out of the facility. This includes processing all shipping documentation promptly and accurately and running Excel reports as needed (RNS and inbound). The Transportation Clerk also routes orders to their designated carriers when they are ready to be picked up and shipped. They also book trailer loads to meet customers' delivery appointments. 

 

This position works onsite full-time in Dallas, TX (75261).

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Managing shipping documentation, e.g., LTLs, AIRs, UPS, TRAILER LOADS, and MANUAL PICKS. 
  • Ensuring orders are ready to be picked up. 
  • Communicating with RXO to inform them that the trailers are ready for pickup. 
  • Printing commercial documentation when needed.
  • Using the Manual Pick tab to route, log, issue, and track orders, ensuring arrival to their designated carriers for shipping.
  • Serving as a backup for OS&D clerk, supporting special projects as assigned, including training.
  • Providing excellent customer service to assist customer care, agents, carriers, and vendors.
  • Answering phone calls and directing them to the correct people.
  • Sending TLOD tickets to other facilities.
  • Providing printer and will call support.
  • Entering the EDI data into Lowe's TMS system.  
  • Creating Lowe's Cross Dock Placards.
  • Maintaining truckload schedule board.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma (or the equivalent) is required.
  • 3 to 5 years of inventory control experience plus computer and administrative skills are highly preferred.
