Team/Position Summary & Location
Nightingale Lighting, introduced in 2024, is setting a new standard with innovative, market-disruptive lighting products for healthcare spaces. Drawing on decades of lighting expertise, Nightingale solutions combine the best design and illumination engineering to provide a patient-centric experience emphasizing wellness.
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on engineer to join the Nightingale Sustaining Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who’s hands-on, curious, and driven to make a lasting impact across the full product lifecycle.
This role works on-site in Decatur, GA based on business needs.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Implementing design improvements, enhancing reliability, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness.
- Supporting custom product modifications with design, testing, and production documentation.
- Technical Inquiries – address technical questions from Sales, Warranty, and Product Support teams by providing detailed engineering insights.
- Partnering with factory locations and suppliers to support orders, address technical questions and support continuous improvement.
- Fabricating and modifying prototype samples and mockups.
- Developing test fixtures and support validation and certification testing.
- Leading design projects focused on product line expansions and margin improvement goals.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in product development or sustaining engineering for lighting, appliances, or electro-mechanical consumer products.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with CAD data management systems.
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Available to work on-site in Decatur, GA.
- Available to travel domestically/internationally based on business needs.

The range for this position is $80,400.00 to $144,700.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
