Job Summary

The System Integration Test Engineer Senior is responsible for executing system-level integration testing and product validation for lighting products and platforms. This role focuses on validating integrated hardware, firmware, software, and controls function together as intended and meet defined functional, performance, reliability, stability, and regulatory requirements prior to product release.
The Systems Integration Test Engineer Senior works closely with Engineering, Product Management, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Customer Support to support successful new product development (NPD) and ongoing product quality

Key Responsibilities

System Integration Test & Validation Execution

  • Execute system-level integration, validation, and regression testing across lighting products and platforms.
  • Validate integrated lighting systems including luminaires, LED drivers, sensors, controls, firmware, software, and connected/IoT solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures aligned to system requirements and use cases.
  • Document, track, and clearly communicate defects, risks, and validation results.

Test Environments & Lab Support

  • Support the setup, maintenance, and operation of system integration test environments that replicate real-world deployments and customer scenarios.
  • Utilize and contribute to system simulators, emulators, test harnesses, and lab automation to improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Execute testing across multiple configurations, variants, and operating conditions.

Stability, Performance & Long Term Testing

  • Execute stability, endurance, and long-duration system tests to evaluate behavior over extended operational periods.
  • Collect and analyze data related to system performance, reliability, and stability.
  • Identify and troubleshoot integration issues such as timing failures, degradation trends, memory leaks, and intermittent faults.

Cross Functional Collaboration.

  • Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, software, and systems engineers to reproduce, isolate, and resolve system-level issues.
  • Provide timely and data-driven feedback to the Senior Manager and project teams to support release readiness decisions.
  • Support Product Management by validating customer use cases and deployment scenarios.

Minimum Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in system integration test, product validation, test engineering, or systems engineering.
  • Hands-on experience testing integrated electromechanical systems.
  • Ability to create and execute structured test plans and clearly document results.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across hardware and software boundaries.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the lighting industry, including luminaires, LED drivers, controls, or smart/connected lighting.
  • Familiarity with firmware and software behavior in embedded or connected systems.

Travel Requirements

  • 1-20%
