Job Summary
The NPI Engineer is responsible for leading the development and industrialization of new products for mass production, following the company's Product Development System (PDS). This role also includes managing product transfers from other facilities. The Engineer will coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure products are developed on time, meeting all Safety, Quality, and Capacity requirements.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Coordinate all stages of product development in collaboration with Design, Marketing, and Manufacturing departments.
Lead pilot builds and pre-production runs together with the Manufacturing team.
Ensure alignment with Design for Excellence (DFX) and Manufacturing Guidelines (MFG) throughout the development process.
Maintain and update all required documentation for each product release.
Identify and implement improvements in existing products or manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, or cost-effectiveness.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Ingeniero en Electrónica) or related field.
Previous experience in electronic manufacturing is higly desirable
3 to 5 years of experience in NPI
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and negotiation.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
