Job Summary
The Production Scheduler Lead is responsible for leading the production scheduling function to ensure efficient use of resources, timely execution of the production plan, and alignment with customer demand. This role will lead and develop a team of production schedulers, ensuring consistency in scheduling process. The role collaborates closely with materials planning, manufacturing, procurement, and customer experience to create feasible production schedules that balance capacity, material availability, and customer commitments.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Lead a team of production schedulers, providing coaching, training, and performance management
- Collaborate with planners, procurement, and operations to resolve constraints (capacity, material, labor) impacting the schedule
- Drive schedule adherence and coordinate with manufacturing to execute production plans on time.
- Maintain scheduling tools, systems, and reports
- Lead efforts to standardize and optimize scheduling processes and tools
Skills
- Procurement / Planning Knowledge
- Lean Manufacturing Knowledge
- Kanban / MRP knowledge / ERP System Knowledge (SAP, Oracle)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel and Power BI (data analysis skills)
- Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- APICs Certification (Desirable)
Minimum Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of exprience as Production Scheduler Lead or in similar positions.
