Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative addresses customer needs by phone and/or email and ensures consistent follow-up on orders and quotations. They establish and maintain a relationship of trust with internal and external customers and provide high-quality service under the best conditions (speed, professionalism, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure processing of orders from receipt through invoicing and delivery.

• Ensure order accuracy in terms of pricing, product configuration, and delivery date.

• Analyze the appropriateness of credit requests.

• Handle merchandise returns.

• Provide solutions to customer service requests or situations and conduct thorough follow-ups to ensure excellent service.

• Respond to all internal and external inquiries related to active files/orders.

• Participate in the department’s technical training activities regarding new products.

• Update the customer database.

• Create new customer accounts in the system.

• Update the territory’s sales statistical tables.

• Work in partnership with our Regional Sales Directors.

• Verify commissions with our manufacturers’ representatives.

• Support colleagues in the department with their daily tasks.

• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

• May occasionally cover for the receptionist (breaks, absences, etc.).

Minimum Requirements

• Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) requis.

• Minimum de 5 années d’expérience dans un poste similaire au sein d’une entreprise manufacturière requis.

• Expérience dans le domaine de l’éclairage fortement préférée.

• Bilinguisme parlé et écrit (français/anglais) requis afin de soutenir les communications avec les clients, partenaires et intervenants internes à travers le Canada et l’Amérique du Nord.

• Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office requise.

• Expérience avec un système ERP requise; la connaissance de Microsoft AX est considérée comme un atout.
