Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Uses shop math, algebra , geometry, trigonometry and drawings to determine the correct, most economical method to produce.
- Possess the knowledge to properly operate hand tools, DRO Lathes, DRO mills, broaching, single point threading and CNC machines.
- Possesses knowledge of materials, heat treatments and weldments.
- Operates overhead hoist and quick stack to load and unload machines.
- Ability to reverse engineer parts either broken or worn out and create drawings and/or documentation
- Occasionally uses CAM software to create own programs for CNC operations.
- Uses precision devices, including precision measurement devices, as required.
- Completes required reporting on a daily basis.
- Assists others in resolving production difficulties to ensure a smooth and efficient operator.
- Performs other related duties as required.
