Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor with experience driving improvement in a manufacturing or related environment. 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Supervises 8-20 hourly employees in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Drives safety, quality, and productivity performance in accordance with Lean principles, standard work and customer requirements.
  • Determines daily manpower and work assignments for employees to adjust for fluctuations in demand.
  • Participation in general facility projects as required.
  • Inspect and make production decisions regarding acceptability of the glass products.
  • Approves payroll, administers corrective action and disciplines as needed.
  • Will be working rotating schedule – 3 days on 3 days off to include weekends.Swing Shift schedule:  4am to 4pm / 4pm to 4am, changing every 28 days.

Experience (minimum experience required)

  • 2+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • High degree of comfort with computer usage
  • Experience in problem solving, communication and conflict resolution
  • Experience with Lean principles and exposure to Kaizen and continuous improvement events is helpful
  • Ability to walk manufacturing floor up to 75% of shift
  • Willingness to work in noisy environment
  • Ability to tolerate temperature ranges of 40 - 90 degrees F

Education (minimum education required)

  • High School Graduate or H.S. Diploma Equivalency/ GED
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science

Physical Requirements

  • Light work (walking the manufacturing floor up to 75% of shift)
