Job Summary
The Digital Retail Sales Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth, profitability, and operational excellence across digital retail channels, with a strong emphasis on Amazon business management. This role owns account-level financial performance, strategic planning, and execution of ecommerce programs. The Ecommerce Manager leads cross-functional initiatives to optimize sales, margin, and process efficiency, while fostering strong partnerships with retailers, vendors, and Amazon teams. Success is measured by sales growth, profitability, margin improvement, and process optimization.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Sales & Financial Performance Management: Develop and achieve annual sales and profitability targets across ecommerce platforms, including Amazon. Own account-specific P&L, forecasting, and financial reviews. Monitor and report on performance metrics (POS lift, margin impact, traffic lift, conversion rates). 30%
- Amazon Business & Marketplace Strategy: Manage Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central operations, including catalog optimization, pricing strategy, and inventory planning. Lead Amazon advertising strategy (e.g., Sponsored Products, DSP) to drive traffic and conversion. Analyze Amazon sales trends, competitive landscape, and customer reviews to identify growth opportunities. Improve Amazon Vendor Scorecard metrics (fill rates, lead times, content quality, etc.). 25%
- Strategic Account & Program Execution: Lead account strategy including merchant/vendor relationships and agency coordination. Execute promotional activities, product launches, and resets across ecommerce platforms. Drive omni-channel and interconnected retail strategies, integrating Amazon with broader digital initiatives. 20%
- Customer Relationship & Partnership Development: Act as the voice of the customer within the organization. Escalate pain points and advocate for process improvements across ecommerce operations. Attend customer events and conduct store walks to gather regional insights and competitive intelligence. 15%
- Operational Excellence & Process Improvement: Drive internal processes such as demand planning, DFC management, and sales/finance reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline Amazon operations and resolve issues. Identify and execute opportunities using sales trends, pricing strategies, and market analysis. 10%
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in ecommerce account management, with proven success managing Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including P&L ownership, forecasting, and performance metric tracking.
- Expertise in Amazon advertising platforms (e.g., Sponsored Products, DSP) and marketplace optimization strategies.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with experience managing vendor relationships, agencies, and internal teams.

The range for this position is $83,300.00 to $149,900.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
