Job Summary
The Manufacturing Systems Developer will analyze, design, develop, and support software solutions that enable manufacturing operations, automation, error proofing, and traceability. This is a full-stack development role supporting front-end, back-end, and data-related solutions within a manufacturing environment.
The role will contribute to the development of new applications and technologies supporting Manufacturing Systems, while also maintaining and enhancing existing solutions. The position works within an Agile development environment and collaborates with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable software solutions.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and support software solutions for manufacturing operations, automation, error proofing, and traceability.
- Develop full-stack applications across front-end, back-end, and data layers using technologies such as C#, .NET, Blazor, ASP.NET, and SQL.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrations between manufacturing and enterprise systems.
- Develop new in-house solutions while maintaining and enhancing existing and legacy applications.
- Support manufacturing traceability applications covering processes from raw material receipt through finished product.
- Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, task assignment, execution, and documentation.
- Coordinate project tasks, deliverables, timelines, testing, and implementation activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business and manufacturing needs into technical solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements and contribute to Industry 4.0/5.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives.
- Perform unit and automated testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Maintain technical documentation and development activities using tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Support integrations with manufacturing and enterprise technologies such as MES, SCADA, PLCs, ERP/Oracle, IoT, and cloud services, based on project requirements.
- Proactively communicate project progress, risks, issues, and results to relevant stakeholders.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3–5 years of relevant software development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with C# and .NET development.
- At least 3 years of experience developing or working with REST APIs.
- Experience with full-stack development, including front-end, back-end, and data-related development.
- Experience with SQL, including queries, data manipulation, and stored procedures.
- Experience developing web applications using technologies such as Blazor and/or ASP.NET.
- Experience with Git or similar version control tools.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience with development and project management platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Experience with unit and/or automated testing.
- Strong programming fundamentals and ability to develop high-quality, maintainable software.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, adaptability, and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Written and verbal English communication skills.
