Job Summary
KE2 Therm Solutions, a brand under Distech Controls and part of the Acuity Intelligent Spaces business segment of Acuity Brands, is a leading developer and manufacturer of intelligent refrigeration control solutions. Leveraging proprietary advanced control algorithms, software, and hardware, KE2 Therm’s technology is trusted by a wide range of end users, consultants, and major OEM manufacturers of evaporators, walk-in freezers, and coolers. Their solutions are deployed in both new installations and retrofit refrigeration applications.
Headquartered in Washington, Missouri, KE2 Therm is focused on increasing system efficiency and reducing operational costs through innovative and reliable control technology.
This position will play an active role in the development of embedded controls for commercial refrigeration, defining needs and deploying quality products on time and within budget.
This role is based out of Washington, Missouri and will require on-site presence 5 days a week during the trial period. After this period, the position may transition to a hybrid model with 2 days remote and 3 days in the office per week.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
• Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering teams to deliver software development plans
• Work closely with Engineering team members to develop and deliver firmware for products
• Firmware development for microcontrollers and embedded Linux using C programming
• Basic web page development using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Assist with Engineering testing to develop test plan to qualify new firmware
• Provide support on engineering projects as requested
• Work with source code management, work management tools, automated build and testing tools
• Actively participate in product definition and detailed product design
• Participate in the development of concepts and architectures
• Document and communicate development as the project progresses
• Work closely with different teams during the respective development and pre-release phases (validation, certification, production testing procedures)
• Play a proactive role in improving design methods, tools, processes and standards within the software team
• Participate in product maintenance
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
· Four-year degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant experience (5+ years)
· Strong knowledge of embedded software development in C for both microcontrollers and embedded Linux
· Familiarity with source code repositories, tracking and software version control (Git)
· Comfortable working with others to help deliver innovative solutions
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English
· Able to work in a team atmosphere and function in a collaborative environment
· Knowledge of JavaScript and Golang programming languages a plus
· Knowledge of Ethernet communications a plus
· Knowledge of web services and communication protocol development (including HTTP, TCP, and UDP) using embedded controls a plus
· Familiarity with Visual Studio Code a plus

The range for this position is $120,800.00 to $217,400.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
